I visited my ex-neighbour and friend there over the weekend, and was just bowled over by how lovely the house and staff are. The house is amazing, really beautiful, and the staff I met made me feel so welcome. They all seemed really genuine people who obviously understand my friend as a person, and care very much about her welfare. The manager in particular is an exceptionally lovely man. My friend is extremely happy and comfortable there, which is so reassuring for me. I stayed for a huge Sunday lunch (which they wouldn’t allow me to pay for), and it was absolutely gorgeous. I know from experience that not all care homes are like this, and I felt their dedication should be rewarded, hence wanting to leave a positive comment.

My father has been a resident here for 3 months now and York Lodge’s caring and friendly atmosphere has given him a new lease of life. He is eating well, enjoying games and events which has boosted his health and well-being. For anyone concerned about choosing a care home for an elderly, frail loved one I can whole heatedly recommend York Lodge.

My mum has been going to York Lodge three times a week for their excellent day care, and she really loves it! The food is gorgeous, she always enjoys the activities and outings and the staff there make her feel ‘part of the family’. She really looks forward to going, and it’s reassuring for me to know she’s being well looked after and having fun too. Highly recommended!
